Safety First Then Teamwork
Great Balls of Fire is a very strong anti-fungal butter blend with strong oils so wash hands with soap after every application. Rub into scaly, itchy areas. Do not use a tanning bed with any product containing essential oils and be careful of sun exposure within 12 hours of using this product due to the chemical constituents in the Melissa officinalis oil.
Storytime
Lemon balm has been around for awhile in herbal traditions as a soothing ally for the skin, especially when it comes to easing discomfort caused by chafing, irritation, and itch. Traditionally used in salves and ointments, lemon balm’s gentle yet effective properties made it a go-to herb for calming reactive or sensitive skin.
At the heart of its effectiveness is rosmarinic acid—a naturally occurring compound found in lemon balm that has been studied for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial benefits. Folk practitioners often applied crushed lemon balm leaves or infusions directly to the skin to help relieve itching, reduce redness, and support the healing process of minor skin abrasions.
In a body butter, lemon balm works beautifully to provide a calming layer of moisture while helping to soothe irritation caused by friction or dryness. Its mild, citrusy aroma is just a bonus, bringing a bit of lightness and clarity to your self-care routine.
Whether you’re recovering from a day outdoors, dealing with seasonal skin flare-ups, or simply want a little extra comfort, lemon balm offers a time-honored solution. It’s one of those humble herbs that quietly gets the job done—gently, naturally, and effectively.
Pairing
Great Balls of Fire pairs well with Eczema Essentials, First Aid Oil & Face Whipped. I also enjoy using it in conjunction with Lemon Balm Elixir
