Let It Go, Let It Go
Let It Go was created like a lot of my products, out of a need. I have been keeping the inner workings of this recipe for about 5 years. It was initially going to be a lymph balm, but look at us now. I just love the ease of a roller. And with this being 1 full ounce you can roll it several times without wasting.
The Importance of Lymphatic Massage and Movement
Lymphatic massage and movement are important for improving fluid circulation, supporting how our immune system responds, and overall wellness. Gentle massage of the lymph areas stimulates the lymphatic system to clear blockages and reduce swelling, while physical movement provides the muscle contractions needed to help pump lymphatic fluid throughout the body. Movement like rebounding is my favorite and combined with massage has the potential to enhance the body’s ability to detoxify, reduce inflammation, and manage symptoms.
To The Ingredients!
– Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) Infused Olive Oil has research that supports the claim that rosemary has compounds to aid in healthy circulation. It is a stimulant, anti-inflammatory, nervine and astringent.
– Calendula (Calendula officinalis) Infused Olive Oil is astringent, anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, wound healing and has some constituents that show anti fungal behavior.
– Vitamin E Oil acts as an antioxidant which helps protect the oil blend from rancidity and lends another layer of skin moisturization and repair.
Essential Oils
– Cinnamon Bark (Cinnamomum cassia) is a strong astringent and a tonic. It seems to have a spurring action on bodily fluids which can possibly lead to it helping move the lymph properly.
– Lemon (Citrus limon) is skin brightening but comes with the danger of being phototoxic (will cause skin sensitization when exposed to the sun in a 12-18 hour time period of time of application). I love lemon because it’s excellent for circulation, congestion or stagnation in the body.
– Peppermint (Mentha piperita) is an astringent, analgesic, vasoconstrictor, stimulant, nervine and decongestant.
– Frankincense (Boswellia carteri) is a vulnerary, cicatrisant, tonic and diuretic.
Caution!
Lemon is a phototoxic oil and should never be use within 12-18 hours of direct sun exposure. Tanning beds are never recommended with any product containing essential oils.
Cinnamon Bark is best avoided during pregnancy. Can cause skin sensitization. Always consult your healthcare professional before using any natural remedy.
