Rose Petal – Uplifting Lotion Bar
Rose Petal Uplifting Lotion Bar came about because of an excess of rose infused olive oil. I make large quantities for several products and on this one occasion I had a lot left so this product formed in my mind. I knew I needed to make a harder wax to oil ratio so the lotion bar was born.
What My Ingredients Do
My Preferred Carriers
 – Rose (Rosa centifolia) Infused Olive Oil is my solar infused herbal oil you’ll see in several products. This is a very luxurious herbal oil that has the chemical constituents to repair skin on its own.
 – Beeswax is necessary for any solids and really helps to hold in the moisture you are receiving from the butters.
 – Vitamin E Oil acts as an antioxidant which helps protect the lotion bar from rancidity and supports skin repair.
My Oil of Choice
I originally did not make this with any essential oils in it, but decided a low dose of bergamot was so nourishing and complimentary to the already mild natural fragrance of the rose infused olive oil.
 – Bergamot (Citrus bergamia) is known historically as a grief oil. It has been used throughout history in folk medicine to assist with loss and release pent-up emotions.

Caution!
As with most citrus oils do not expose skin to sunlight within 12-18 hours of application. Never use a tanning bed with any product containing essential oils.
