Support for Flow, Comfort & Balance
When I reach for You Gotta Be Kidney Me, I’m choosing gentle kidney and bladder support rooted in herbal tradition. This tea was made to encourage healthy urinary flow, soothe irritated tissues, and assist the body’s natural detox and elimination pathways.
Whether I’m feeling sluggish in my system, seeking gentle urinary comfort, or wanting to support my kidneys and bladder through daily wellness rituals, this is the cup I brew. With soothing demulcents, gentle diuretics, tonifying mineral-rich herbs, and botanicals traditionally used for urinary wellness, this blend is a companion for clarity, flow, and internal comfort.
Herbal Allies & Their Gifts
Urtica dioica: Stinging Nettle
Nutrient-dense and supportive of kidney function, nettle has long been cherished for its role in urinary elimination and fluid balance.
Traditionally used to assist with urinary comfort, detox pathways, and nourishing kidney vitality.
Zea mays: Cornsilk
A classic urinary-soothing herb. Cornsilk is known in folk herbalism for calming irritated bladder tissue, promoting gentle diuresis, and supporting a healthy urinary flow.
Ideal when things feel a little tight, slow, or uncomfortable.
Taraxacum officinale: Dandelion Leaf
Dandelion leaf is traditionally valued as a potassium-rich diuretic — meaning it encourages healthy fluid release without depleting electrolytes. Oftentimes, as I have experienced as a caregiver, is that especially in older people the frequent urination leads to potassium depletion. Dandelion is an excellent coffee supplement to offset this.
Supports kidneys, bladder, and overall elimination.
Taraxacum officinale: Dandelion Root
Dandelion root steps in to gently assist digestion and liver pathways, creating full-system support. When the liver flows well, the kidneys feel companioned — a classic herbal synergy.
Althaea officinalis: Marshmallow Root
Marshmallow root is deeply soothing to mucous membranes — like a soft herbal pillow for irritated or inflamed urinary tissues.
Traditionally used to calm the urinary tract and buffer against dryness or irritation.
Mentha x piperita: Peppermint
Refreshing and cooling, peppermint eases tension, supports digestion (often tied to kidney/bladder discomfort), and helps the blend go down smooth and bright.
