You’re So Vein – Varicose Vein Lotion Bar

$15.00

You’re So Vein varicose vein lotion bar is a blend that combines the manly aroma that I love with the no-nonsense actions that we all need in this area.

I love using this bar after a shower where I utilized the exfoliating power of my Cellulite Coffee Scrub. I simply pat dry and rub the lotion bar into my problem areas always focusing on massaging in towards the heart.

This lotion bar contains unrefined Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Jojoba Wax and Vitamin E oil. The essential oils in this are known for their circulation and stimulating effects; Juniper Berry, Rosemary, Cypress, Patchouli, Lemon, Cedarwood, Black Pepper.

You’re So Vein – Varicose Vein Lotion Bar

I created You’re So Vein for a friend struggling with varicose veins years ago. I researched all the necessary oils and came up with this. This earthy yet brightening aroma is the star of this bar. I prefer using You’re So Vein on my outer thighs and butt after Cellulite Coffee Scrub.

What My Ingredients Do

My Preferred Carriers

 – Coconut Oil is at the base of my recipe because it does not clog pores, helps retain moisture and is resistant to rancidity which can help extend the shelf life of any given blend.
 – Jojoba Wax(oil) is one of those carrier oils that any good apothecary should not be without. Its molecular structure resembles our skin’s own natural sebum. It has a significant amount of myristic acid which is an anti-inflammatory and it never goes rancid which can in turn also extend the life of an aromatherapy blend.

My Oils of Choice

 – Rosemary (chemotype 1,8 cineole) increases circulation, is a diuretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory. The high percentage of 1,8 cineole increases the blood flow which gives a warming sensation. I prefer the high camphor content which aides in pain relief sometimes associated with varicose veins.
 – Black Pepper is a vasodilator, stimulates local blood circulation, and is an anti-inflammatory. It is warming which can be an excellent ally against pain associated with varicose veins.
 – Cedarwood (virginiana) is a cicatrisant, cell regenerative/skin healing, wound healing, anti-inflammatory oil with astringent properties.
 – Patchouli is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory oil that promotes skin healing. It is also balancing to help unite the mind and emotions with the physical world.
 – Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) is a strong analgesic, pain reducer, an anti-inflammatory and astringent. It is also a diuretic used for millennia to aid in the reduction of fluid in the tissue. The “improvement of circulation and relief of swelling and pain caused by varicose veins” is attributed to Cypress’s unique chemical makeup. Plus, I rather love the aroma. 🙂
 – Juniper Berry is an analgesic that promotes vasodilation and stimulates local circulation. It is an astringent and anti-inflammatory that has been used widely for years.
 – Lemon is so popular for assisting the immune system and it is those same chemical components that also lend their hands to its other important uses. I love lemon for its analgesic, anti-inflammatory and astringent(excellent in tightening tissue) properties. Lemon “can help reduce swelling and pain”.

CAUTION!

Lemon essential oil is phototoxic and should never be used within 12-18 hours of sun exposure. The dilution of lemon in this blend makes it sun-sensitive. You should never use a tanning bed after applying any product containing essential oils.
