Firstly, Tallowdega Nights – Whipped Tallow Cream is a return to what works. Which is what makes this whipped cream nourishing deeply without the long list of lab-made additives. As always I procure my tallow from pasture-raised local beef on Plemmons Farm. Lastly, this cream has just six whole ingredients, all chosen with skin health in mind.

Why Whipped Tallow Cream? Does it work or is it just Tik Tok approved?

Grass-fed beef tallow (Sebum bovinum) is rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K. This make its profile closely matched to human skin’s natural oils, which allows it to absorb quickly and restore balance. In fact tallow has been used for centuries as a traditional moisturizer and skin protector.

In addition, there was a 2022 study in Biomedical Dermatology that found that tallow-based moisturizers improved skin hydration and barrier function significantly more than several commercial lotions, especially on sensitive or eczema-prone skin. This newest batch has the addition of beeswax because of rising temperatures in Texas.

• Jojoba Wax (Simmondsia chinensis) – technically a liquid wax, jojoba mimics skin’s natural sebum and helps seal in moisture. Which makes Jojoba one of the best plant oils for the skin across the board.
• Vitamin E Oil (Tocopherol) – a natural preservative and antioxidant that supports skin repair.
• Essential Oils of Carrot Seed (Daucus carota), Neroli (Citrus aurantium), and Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis) – gently brightening, calming, and uplifting. Sweet Orange is often chosen in my products because it is not phototoxic like its other citrus cousins and it is not as stimulating as say, Lime.
