Whoa-Man
Female Cycle Regulation & Hormonal Balance Herbal Tea Blend
A Tea for the Rhythms of Womanhood
When I created Whoa-Man, I wanted a tea that honored the full spectrum of a woman’s hormonal life: from the first delicate cycles of young womanhood, through monthly ebb and flow, and into the sacred transition of perimenopause and menopause.
This blend is a warm hug for your endocrine system, a grounding herbal companion for emotional steadiness, and a nourishing cup for the rhythms your body moves through as a woman.
With ancient herbal wisdom and evolving research in hand, I crafted this formula to support cycle regularity, hormone harmony, mood balance, and uterine comfort: naturally and holistically.
Hormonal Harmony & Cycle Regulation
Vitex agnus-castus (Chaste Berry)
I lean on chaste berry as the anchor of this blend. Traditionally used to balance menstrual rhythm and ease PMS, modern research supports its ability to reduce breast tenderness, mood swings, and luteal-phase discomfort while encouraging progesterone balance.
Peer-reviewed studies suggest its support in PMS and prolactin regulation. (PubMed ID: 23136064)
Leonurus cardiaca (Motherwort)
Known as “Mother’s Herb,” motherwort eases emotional and uterine tension. I include it for those moments when irritability spikes or cramps cloud the day. Its nervine properties help soften stress and support emotional balance through hormonal shifts. (PubMed ID: 31119169)
Nourishing & Restorative Tonics
Urtica dioica (Nettle Leaf)
Mineral-rich nettle feeds the reproductive system and supports healthy menstruation and iron stores — deeply loved in herbal traditions for nourishing the female system.
Research supports its ability to help with peri-menopausal symptoms and cycle comfort. (PMC9253158)
Astragalus membranaceus
A beloved herbal tonic used in TCM to support vitality, immune strength, and energy — foundational when hormone fluctuations leave us tired or emotionally stretched.
Comfort for Cramps, Bloat & Mood
Cinnamomum var. (Cinnamon)
Traditionally warming, cinnamon helps encourage healthy menstrual flow and ease uterine cramping. Its digestive support complements cycle-related bloating.
Mentha x piperita (Peppermint)
I add peppermint for soothing digestive tension, refreshing the palate, and helping ease spasms and nausea during hormonal shifts.
Taraxacum officinale (Dandelion Root)
Dandelion root supports liver function — essential in hormone metabolism and helping the body manage PMS-related bloating and sluggishness.
Symphytum officinale (Comfrey Leaf)
Used in old-world herbalism for its soothing and restorative nature. I include a gentle leaf proportion aligned with tradition and mindful of modern safety attention.
